U13 Premier Cup Final Result

The game finished 1 all after extra time. Corbally won on penalties.

There was a very good turnout at Fairview to support both teams. It was nice to see so many Corbally players from the U14 teams out at Fairview last night to lend their support.

Both teams were fairly even, Geraldines probably shaded it with more chances created during the game. The occasion seemed to get to the Corbally players and they were very nervous at the start.

Geraldines went ahead in the first half with a well taken goal from a corner. We had a goal disallowed prior to that with a dubious off side decision. Corbally stepped up their game in the second half and were awarded with an equaliser from Michael White.

For the penalty kicks Stephen McNamara was the hero of the day saving one of the penalties. Penalty scorers for Corbally included: Cian Collins, Benjamin Nugent, Shane Gavin. Pictures in the Photo Gallery.

U14 B  - Division

Corbally "B"  0 v Regional 1 Played on Saturday 19th May.    This was the final match of the league season with both teams level on points at the top of the league. So we ended up runners up. Very close match with no goals in the first half. The only goal came mid way through the second half. A good performance by all players but top performers on the day were from Nicky Hogan, Ross Newsham Paul Cox, Dylan Clohessy, and David McNamara (who got out of a sick bed to play.) Even though we lost the league we have had a Very Good season. Well done to all Players.  Philip Newsham Manager Under 14 "B".

U11 A - Premier League

The final action of the season was a friendly against the U12 B team, winning 4-2. In all a tough first competitive season, the highlight was taking Ballynanty to extra time in the cup. (After leading 3-1) Ballynanty were the eventual cup winners.
