U13b Star Rovers 2 Corbally Utd 3

 - This was a clash of the top two teams in the league. Corbally had lost 5 - 4 at home the game before this one and did not want a repeat performance today.

The game started well by both teams, Star having most of the attacking in first 15 minutes or so, but no real shots as Corbally defended like champions. no player could be faulted in first half by either team, as both worked hard at defending. Corbally hit the cross bar once in first half and Star had 1 or 2 shots just wide.

First half ended 0 - 0

Second half started, and Corbally started as they finished and put alot of pressure on Star. Corbally took a shot and again were denied by the cross bar. another corner for Corbally and Star are at 6's and 7's and can't get ball away and with crazy scramble in the box. Joshua Burke scores. 0 - 1 and a well deserved lead at this point.

Corbally now take control and start having more chances...Star have a few chances at goal and Corbally are saved by some fine saves from Colin Kelly.

Corbally get another corner and again Star struggle to clear, it goes outside 18 yard box and is struck back in by Greame O'Neil, it gets scrappy inside box with players trying to clear and players trying to shoot. Peter Holman manages to get ball and scores. 0 - 2 Corbally.

Ball is cleared by Star from a cross and it goes as far as Graeme O'Neil who holds the ball up waits for players to get on side and then plays lovely through ball into Cian Clifford. who has to stretch for ball as keeper is going down for ball, Cian wins ball,jumps up and scores. 0 - 3 Corbally.

2 mins from end and Star get a Chance from a break and score... 1 - 3
