Corbally U10's were invited to send a sqaud of 10 to the LDSL Emerging Talent trials. The aim of the trials, played in a blitz format, are to select the best players for the age group U10's to go forward to the Limerick Academy.

On the day we had 3 games;

Corbally 0 v Fairview 1

We started slowly, Fairview were quicker to the ball and more aggressive in the tackle. Our defence, Conor Purcell and Sean O'Dwyer were especially sharp and helped by some good stops by Bobby O'Mara in goal. We slowly got in the game and began passing well. We gave away a poor goal immediately after the restart but came back very strong and almost grabbed an equaliser in the last minute when a fierce shot from Sean Mahon hit the bar.

Corbally 0 v Lisnagry 0

No one knows how the score remined 0-0, we had several chances but failed to take them and eventually only a couple of good last ditch challenges from the defenders kept us level.

Corbally 3 v Coonagh 2 (Shane Kelly, Sean O'Dwyer, Jack Doyle)

In this match we on top for long periods, took some chances and ended up with our only win.

Overall, this was a worthwhile event to participate in and our performances showed us what is needed for the coming season.
