Ciaran Toomey 1989 - 2007 - R.I.P.

It is with a heavy heart that I sit here today and write these words about such a wonderful young man.
Ciaran began his football career with the club at 9 years of age and from day one it could be seen that he had a special talent and a personality to match. Always 1st to training wanting to be the best at what he did, always 1st to show his appreciation to anyone who worked with him and gave him advice, always the 1st to compliment his own players when they did their best. Playing in goal can be one of the most thankless positions any player can take on, but Ciaran grasped the challenge with both hands and became one of the best young keepers in Limerick right through his schoolboy days and into Minor football.
To each and every sport Ciaran competed in he gave 150% as each & every player that played with or against him will agree. A gentleman both on and off the pitch he was always the first to shake hands.....
