Corbally United Code of Practice for Members


Corbally United AFC is respected throughout Ireland. We expect high standards from our players, officials, mentors and spectators in terms of commitment and preparation, as well as the sporting attitude we show to those with whom our sport brings us in contact with. We all have a duty to ensure that standards and our club’s reputation are maintained at the highest level.


1. Always remember that you are representing Corbally United AFC .
2. All players must make every effort to arrive on time for matches and training sessions.
3. Always encourage rather than criticise your team-mates.
4. Show respect for your team-mates, opponents, referee, coaches and officials.
5. Abusive behaviour, foul or offensive language will not be tolerated.
6. Never use unfair or bullying tactics to gain advantage on or off the pitch.
7. Never use bullying tactics to isolate another player.
8. Coaches will have rules to control each training session; these rules must be followed for the session to be successful.
9. A team manager will be appointed to each team. If you have any issues regarding the Coach/Coaching don’t be afraid to approach him/her.


Disciplinary action will be taken in cases where there is a severe breach of the “Code of Practice”. Disciplinary action may consist of verbal and/or written warnings, training session/match bans or suspension/expulsion from the club.
